Maternity Action is a national charity working to end inequality and
promote the health and well-being of all pregnant women, their partners and children from before conception through to the
child's early years.
What we do:
research focussing on the experiences of vulnerable women, babies and families. We work in close partnership
with user groups. We engage with service providers to identify ways to improve service delivery.
Providing information and advice
We provide accurate,
user-friendly information to assist vulnerable women and their families to improve access to health care and social support,
obtain appropriate income support, and enter and maintain ‘good’ employment. We support community
workers, clinicians and others to provide advice to vulnerable women and their families.
Providing training and consultancy
We provide web-based and face-to-face training which supports our
information and policy work.
Policy and campaigning
