In 2005, the Equal Opportunities Commission conducted an investigation into discrimination against new and expectant
mothers at work. This research remains the most up to date national survey of the nature and incidence of pregnancy
discrimination at work.
The report was supported by a series of research papers, including a survey of employers,
a survey of women and a qualitative study.
