*New* Maternity Action training: Maternity and Parental
rights at work
Maternity Action
is offering a half day course on maternity and parental rights at work. The course is designed for community
workers, midwives, parent advisers and health visitors. Training is delivered by experienced Maternity
Action advisers.
Course aim: to increase understanding of maternity and parental
rights in the workplace
Course objectives:
* Understand maternity and parental rights at work for expectant
and new parents including entitlements to maternity and paternity pay and leave
* Recognize discrimination during pregnancy
and maternity leave
* Know where to get further help and advice to resolve discrimination issues in the workplace
